If we could rate 10 stars we would! I have always wanted to try my hand on the pottery wheel, and made plans to do so with my mom when she came into town. We didn't plan accordingly and found that most places were fully booked weeks in advance. We called Terry last minute and he was able to accommodate us the very next day. The two hour session that entailed exceeded our expectations tremendously. Terry was super kind, very patient, and obviously well informed in all aspects of clay throwing. All materials were provided and he even throws it in the kiln and lets you pick it up at a later date. I had sort of expected to arrive in a class setting where there's an instructor working on his piece while we sat on our own wheels and tried our hand at it. I expected to fail and restart multiple times. But that was not the case at all! Terry was super patient and was hands on with each piece we made. He helped to guide our creations in a way that kept them structurally sound, while allowing us to add our individuality. I don't think I could find the kind of patience it takes to teach, but Terry has and is worth every penny. Plus the studio looks out onto a beautiful view of Hill Country. You can't beat that. Thanks again for the great experience!

My wife and I also booked with Terry for our 9th anniversary. 9 years is clay so it seemed like the perfect gift. We had an amazing time making bowls and a vase with a heart. We left the pieces with Terry and picked out our glaze colors. A few weeks later they were ready to pickup and looked great. It was an amazing crash course in clay throwing. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great activity with friends, family or solo.

My husband and I did a 2 hour long class for our 9th anniversary. Terry was super patient with us and helped us create 2 pieces each on the wheel that we were able to take home later. We had a blast and it was a fun night doing something we had never done!

We did a pottery class with Terry for our 9th wedding anniversary and it was so much fun! He was patient and really sweet as we were complete newbies. We each made two pieces of pottery and learned a ton. Would 100% recommend this to a couple looking for a fun and different evening!
